Holding a world record is something that many aspire to, but few achieve. There are numerous mind-blowing feats and record-breaking wonders, by talented individuals from all over the world. Once the record has been set, the goal of others is to break that record and surpass the bar. Regardless of how quirky or insane you may find a world record, you must admit that it is one of great prestige. It is an even greater honor when it is achieved by a youngster. One word to describe the youngest world record breakers is INSPIRING. Let’s get to know a few of them. 1. Julian Pavone Julian Pavone is a musical genius. At only 4 years old, he became the youngest professional drummer after his 20th live performance in 2009. According to his father, Julian began to keep rhythm at just a few months gestation, when music was introduced to him. Julian’s musical journey began at 3 months old while sitting on his father’s lap and was given drumsticks. Since then, he has been hitting the skin and doing great things. To groom this remarkable talent, Julian practices daily. He plays a range of genres and has received several full artist endorsements.  2. Zara Rutherford Zara Rutherford is an outstanding 19-year-old Belgian pilot who holds the world record for the youngest woman to fly solo around the world. Rutherford completed this historic journey on 20th January, 2022 where she, in 5 months, 155 days to be exact, flew to 41 countries in 5 continents, facing numerous challenges along the way. Zara Rutherford broke the record of 30-year-old Shaesta Waiz who was the previous record holder.  3. Tucker Roussin In 2013, Tucker Roussin’s mother, who was 20 weeks pregnant, received confirmation by doctors that unborn son had a medical condition called pericardial teratoma. This is a rare heart condition where a rapid growing tumor develops from the sac lining of the heart. Surgery was performed on the growing fetus while in the womb and the tumor was successfully removed at 24 weeks gestation. Tucker was born a few weeks later. What seemed to be beyond the scope of modern medicine became a reality. Tucker Roussin became the youngest person to undergo open heart surgery.  4. Montannah Kenny Montannah Kenny is the youngest female to climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro which stands at 341ft tall. In March, 2018, this 7-year-old, accompanied by her mother, accomplished this challenge within 6 days. Because of Montannah’s age, her mom had to seek the necessary permits and practiced long hikes in preparation for the expedition. This journey was in honor of her father who passed away when she was 3 years old. Montannah expressed that on reaching the top of the mountain, she felt closer to her dad in heaven. 5. Ritaj Alhazmi From a young age, Ritaj Alhazmi of Saudi Arabia showed much interest in imaginative and creative writing. She was inspired by fiction and fantasy which she was exposed to from a young age when she visited the library. At age 12, Ritaj Alhazmi held the Guinness World Record for the world’s youngest writer of a novel series. She wanted her writing to cater to children of her age. “Treasure of the Lost Sea” for which she was awarded, is a three novel series which includes “Treasure of the Lost Sea,” “Portal of the Hidden World” and “Beyond the Future World”. Her aim is to one day win a Nobel Prize.
